    As an Executive Business Assistant (f/m/d) you will have the great opportunity to work in a role that combines content-related project work with organizational and administrative tasks:  

     

    Co-ordinate and execute day-to-day businessPrepare, execute and follow up of strategic meetings with key internal stakeholders and customersCompile information about strategic programs in collaboration with respective areas.Execute cross-unit activities and special tasks as well as cooperation with other areas.Plan, execute and moderate meetings, presentations, events, and trips.Onsite support during business travels to ensure smooth business operations in alignment with the backoffice.Prepare internal/ external meetings, management briefs and presentations.Calendar management and travel planning

    IMPORTANT: The contract for this position is a maternity cover. It should start in July 2026 or later, and will have a fixed term of up to 14 months. The contract may terminate earlier in the event that the employee being covered returns to work prior to the anticipated end date.


    Summary & Role Information: 

    In this role, you will work in a young, cross-functional team that values trust, respect, and diversity.     We are an engineering team at SAP Signavio, responsible for developing and maintaining the standard content for SAP Signavio Process Intelligence and Integration Content built on SAP Integration Suite, which extracts data from source systems to SAP Signavio Process Intelligence for process mining. 

    Our mission is to support our customers in reducing the time to insights by providing reliable, pre-built content that allows customers to analyze, optimize, and monitor their business processes. 


    Your Job: 

    Own and maintain the integration content (currently only SAP Ariba Integration with SAP Signavio Process Intelligence Process Intelligence), including all iFlows deployed in SAP Integration Suite using Cloud Integration capability. 

    Handle customer support tickets: tackle incoming issues, perform root cause analysis using CI monitoring tools (Message Processing Logs, Data Store inspection, error notifications), and provide timely resolutions 

    Debug and update iFlows within the integration package.

    Analyze configuration and connectivity issues across the integration stack: SAP Ariba APIs, SAP Integration Suite security materials, and SAP Signavio Ingestion API 

    Develop and release package updates: review and adopt configuration template changes, maintain code changes in GitHub, manage deployment order, validate data end-to-end in SAP Signavio Process Intelligence 

    Write and maintain documentation such as deployment guides, installation guides, and release notes 

    Work closely with customers, Product Management, SAP Ariba Consulting Team, SAP Signavio engineering teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and improve the integration content 

    Contribute to automation and tooling initiatives to improve development and support productivity 

     

    You bring: 

    Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration) — designing, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting iFlows and Content Configuration  

    Solid understanding of REST API integration patterns, ingestion API, OAuth2 authentication, and HTTP-based data pipelines 

    Experience with JSON-based configuration management and debugging structured integration payloads 

    Experience in customer-facing support roles, including ticket handling, root cause analysis, and structured incident resolution 

    Familiarity with SAP Ariba Synchronous and Asynchronous APIs and/or SAP Signavio Process Intelligence is a strong plus 

    Preferably experience with CI/CD practices, scripting (e.g., Python or Groovy), and integration monitoring strategies 

    Preferably familiarity with Process Mining concepts and how integration data feeds into process analysis pipelines 

    Preferably an enthusiasm for AI, with experience in AI implementation or building AI agent-based workflows (e.g., LLM-based automation, agentic pipelines)

    What you’ll do

    We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Principal Machine Learning Engineer (f/m/d) to design and deliver intelligent, distributed systems that power large-scale AI and large language model (LLM) capabilities. In this role, you will shape cutting-edge infrastructure, mentor world-class engineers, and bring bold ideas from concept to production—driving meaningful impact across SAP’s global ecosystem.
    As a key member of our fast-moving team, you will have the unique opportunity to define and execute the vision for AI and LLM-based systems at scale. We are looking for someone with exceptional programming expertise, deep distributed systems knowledge, and the curiosity and grit to tackle complex, ambiguous challenges. You will work across a diverse technology stack, collaborate closely with engineers and product leaders, and help set the technical direction for AI initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities
    · Architect, design, and implement production systems in Go, Java and Python (full-stack experience a plus)
    · Build and optimize backend services, databases, APIs, and LLM infrastructure
    · Leverage technologies such as Kafka, Postgres, Hana, gRPC, and advanced LLM frameworks
    · Mentor and guide engineers from junior to senior levels, fostering technical excellence
    · Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into scalable, high-impact solution


    What you bring

    · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    · 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of delivering complex systems
    · Proven ability to work independently and lead initiatives from idea to deployment
    · Hands-on experience with AI/ML and/or LLM systems in a production environment
    · Expertise in distributed systems design and implementation
    · Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
    · Strong English communication skills and ability to thrive in global, multicultural teams

    Preferred Qualifications
    · Open-source contributions or significant personal technical projects
    · Experience integrating AI capabilities into large-scale enterprise products

    You are very experienced with general software engineering best practices and enterprise-grade code development applied to an AI space. Concretely this means that next to having profound AI modeling expertise, you are exceptional at working with vast amounts of data in a Big Data setup, professional Data Engineering Pipeline development as well as model deployment/serving and CI/CD setup. To fully understand our stakeholders' problems and challenges a solid business acumen is needed as well. As a development leader you can motivate and guide a scrum team through complex tasks with tight deadlines.


    Responsibilities / Core Tasks:

    Lead develop AI services from PoC to ProductionLead the development of a best practice framework for AI development (both narrow and GenAI) for all dev streams and teamsLead the definition, evolution and drive the setup of infrastructure architecture for the AI applications we are buildingSetup and develop new Big Data pipelines, to productize data ETL workloads for different AI servicesDevelop AI/ML models to solve real life business problems (this includes Data Science exploration phase as well as model productization)Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutionsProductionize AI PoCs with good software engineering by incorporating CI/CD pipelines, deployment and MLOpsTake ownership over AI services in development and productionLead, guide and mentor junior colleagues and evolve their AI engineering skillset

    Within SAP IT, our Enterprise AI CoE team has the purpose to help SAP to transform into a data-driven intelligent enterprise, by empowering SAP employees to simplify processes, leveraging AI technologies.     We implement both standard SAP AI and custom built solutions across all LoBs. We are customer zero of SAP standard AI solutions and provide continuous feedback to standard development for product improvement. We provide an AI Platform and Infrastructure to entire SAP AI practitioners for building their own ML solutions in the entire ML lifecycle following MLOps methodology. Furthermore, we build and operate a central chatbot platform based on SAP Conversational AI with the aim to provide capabilities from all lines of business through a single digital assistant. We also build those capabilities (individual chatbots) as well as support other teams in building further ones.
