About the role
In the Digital System Operation team, we support national and international power grid operators in their daily challenges including the integration of renewable energies into the power grid and the secure management of power grids in the context of the energy transition, covering the grid and digital transition. Our focus is on a well functioning control system and the development thereof. Our work has a major share for a successful energy transition.
What will you do
You will support and enable power system operator to build and update their control system to meet future requirements. This will require tasks related to Business Analysts, System Architects and / or data architect. Depending on your expertise and experience your focus may vary, however, the challenge will remain the same: to support and enable a future fit control system, with respect to functions, system design and integration.
Together with you, we will work on the next generation grid operation for both TSOs and DSOs. You will support our customers in analyzing and implementing business processes with the aim of adapting them to current and future challenges, engage in discussions about data governance and define functional requirements. We act as project managers, moderators, experts, change managers and forward thinkers for our customers.
Typical customer projects cover e.g.:

Understand current and upcoming regulations in the power system operation field and translate them into technical requirements
Analyze and document current grid operators’ system operation - e.g. IT/OT systems and architecture, functionalities and work processes
Develop ideas, concepts, strategies for updated or new IT/OT functionalities, architectures and work processes
Write a requirement specification for the procurement process - in waterfall or agile implementation style
Support in implementation, testing, training and approval processes
Prepare a basic cost/benefit analysis
Prepare and present C-level suitable presentations to explain technical and financial coherences

About you
To be taken into consideration, you must have:
Proven electrotechnical or software background, e.g. through degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar,
Relevant work experience in areas mentioned above,
