    Job PurposeThis role drives the development and effective implementation of a competitive and sustainable European Airfreight sector product for DGF AFR Europe. The position collaborates closely with the Global Sector Product Head, the Regional Airfreight Head Europe, and Country Product Heads to ensure alignment of the sector product strategy across all European countries.

    The role holder owns sector-specific market knowledge for Europe and leads the regional sub-function for the sector product. They contribute to the overall functional strategy and drive the development of European segment strategies and business plans. A key responsibility is ensuring operational excellence in the European airfreight network by guiding country and station teams and ensuring alignment with industry needs, market dynamics, divisional strategy, and DHL Group policies.

    Job purpose 


    Taking ownership of the OFR (Ocean Freight) reporting landscape, including MyFRP applications, Station Monitor, and Performance Index, and actively contributing to the development of an overall OFR reporting and steering strategy, this role supports data-driven decision making. It involves prioritizing requirements, managing the delivery of reports and enhancements for these applications, ensuring up-to-date documentation, and driving usage of the applications. The individual plays a key role in optimizing the reporting landscape, promoting data-driven decision making, and facilitating effective reporting and business intelligence within OFR.

    Principal accountabilities


    Develop and Manage OFR Reporting and Data Analytics Strategy: Actively contribute to the development of an overall OFR reporting and data analytics strategy, aligning reporting initiatives with the broader goals and objectives of OFR and spearheading opportunities for leveraging of latest data science technologies. Prioritize Requirements: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, prioritize requirements, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Manage Delivery: Oversee the delivery process of reports and enhancements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while managing resources and timelines effectively. Establish and Maintain Centralized Governance: Develop and implement centralized governance processes for reporting and business intelligence within OFR, ensuring compliance, consistency, and quality.     Qualifications & Key Requirements


    More than 6 years of experience preferable with ocean freight, data analytics, reporting, financial controlling Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification ideally with education in Data Science Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Data Governance, or Compliance desirable. Proven track record in global process ownership and digital enablement. Successful execution of large-scale transformations and programs across multi-region environments.

    Job purpose 


    The Global Head of Reefer Trade Management is responsible for the overall volume development and GP of the Reefer FCL globally. The individual drives and defines the reefer trade strategies across the globe aligned with the regions and Reefer Management.

    The global head is responsible for setting and executing the global carrier strategy by personally managing and developing the relationships with our core carriers, and regional niche carriers (where needed) globally.

    Furthermore, the role is part of the global trade management leadership team responsible for aligning and setting a clear direction for the Reefer FCL product development and growth in collaboration with the growth and M&S organization.

    Principal accountabilities


    Strategy & PnL management Responsible for Reefer FCL P&L and product development. Define and drive trade strategies and growth trade lanes in collaboration with the Global Head of Reefer & Bulk. Ensure Reefer FCL budgeted business development in the assigned trades by setting and agreeing appropriate goals with carriers, countries, reefer mng and trade management. Ensure regular market information for all trade lanes & communicate them to Trade Management, OFR network and M&S.  Carrier Management Manage and develop relationships with carriers, focusing on Strategic Partner Carriers globally and aligning with the global carrier strategy.  Negotiate rates and other conditions like free times, credit terms etc. with carriers and conclude Service Contracts and Agreements in line with global strategy and according to corporate (legal) guidance. Centrally provides fundamental base (price, space, cooperation) for any Reefer FCL businesses on a global level for all volumes in cooperation and alignment with regional Trade Mgt and Reefer Mgt.  Drive optimization of local charges across the globe Monitoring core carrier adherence performance weekly and monthly by utilizing various available tools to achieve target with carriers based on latest estimate.  Lead, guide, strengthen and grow the global trade management team’s reefer competencies and support creation of the next level leaders in individual trades. Allocation and Yield Management Responsible (together with trade mgt) for allocation management on main export trades, which includes setting up (weekly) allocations with all (core) carriers maintaining agreed allocations in existing and future systems Responsible for setting so-called “volume steering guidelines” which can vary per trade and country Increase NOR (Non-Operating Reefer) loadings on backhaul routes to capitalize on competitive pricing and ensure reefer container availability for head haul trades Drive cost savings by strategically directing equipment to high-demand areas within carrier networks. Monitors actual volumes booked and shipped and takes corrective actions (= initiates carrier shifting) in order to utilize available space to fulfill carrier targets and contract MQCs to optimize and maximize GP on customer, shipment, trade lane level to optimize and maximize carrier incentives Volume and Pricing Responsible for the Port-to-Port pricing.  Work with Growth Team to achieve joint approach for the organization across the network for Reefer growth in both SME and Large RFQs. Utilizing own market knowledge to obtain more details to win/ retain customers. Provide CSI and DGF BC/MNC/ (Region and Country) guidance & consulting on reefer OFR buying conditions (rates, space, equipment availability, free time etc.). Steer Focus Trade lanes in close cooperation with country reefer mgt, RDM (Route Development Manager) team and trade mgt. Assist in customer business implementation by enabling carrier’s cooperation and understanding. Actively engage with key customers globally and sponsor the relationship growth with them.  Drive, Support and/or co-ordinate global projects upon request. Collaboration with reefer management and competency center to enhance our pharma offering including GxP compliance, monitoring and high value solutions

    As Manager Global Ocean Freight Operations, you are globally responsible for a defined process domain within Ocean Freight operations and lead global process governance and digital enablement to deliver measurable impact on EBIT, operational excellence and customer experience worldwide.

    You own the Global Operating Model and champion standardization, data stewardship, automation and compliance-by-design across all workflows within your assigned domain.     You will take on assigned responsibilities within the team and deliver key initiatives in coordination with your manager, ensuring alignment with global objectives and standards: This role will initially focus on Milestones, Vendor Integration and Process Intelligence.

    You are accountable for establishing transparency across the current (“as‑is”) operational, vendor, milestone, and data landscape, including how carrier schedules and vendor‑provided events are translated into milestones that accurately reflect shipment status across the end‑to‑end journey. You identify gaps versus global standards and target processes and drive sustainable gap closure through vendor governance and operational data quality. You own the end‑to‑end milestone landscape — from carrier schedules to automated and predictive milestones — across external vendors and smart engines, ensuring reliability and fitness for operational, customer, and performance‑management use. You own the business implementation of process mining within Ocean Freight Operations, governing use‑case prioritization and execution to ensure measurable value realization through data‑driven process transparency and improvement.

    Process Governance, Enablement and Adoption

    Define and own the strategic vision for global operational excellence and digital enablement to improve service delivery, customer satisfaction, production unit costs, profit margins and Operating Cash Flow. Optimize EBIT through cost-to-serve reduction programs Own the Global Target Operating Model and global Standard Operating Procedures Set DHL Service Standards for operational processes and OKRs linking outcomes (efficiency, compliance, CX) to capabilities (automation, usability, scalability). Ensure “Right 1st Time” shipment execution and use process mining tools, analytics and First Choice methodologies to identify process inefficiencies, remove waste/variability and automation opportunities to optimize workflows Translate customer insights into process improvements and system enhancements.     The Global Supply Chain Value Engineer is enterprise owner of DHL Global Forwarding’s global value engineering strategy for Order Management Solutions (OMS) and International Supply Chain. This role sets the global vision, governance framework, and performance agenda for value creation across customer pursuits, implementations, and ongoing lifecycle engagements.

    As a global senior leader, the role drives commercial impact, customer value differentiation, and strategic growth, building methodologies, capabilities, and analytics required to quantify and demonstrate DHL’s business impact. The Senior Director translates complex supply chain operations into compelling financial narratives, supports global strategic deals, and ensures value engineering is deeply embedded across functions, regions, and customer touchpoints.

    Principal accountabilities


    Supply Chain Mapping & Diagnostics

    - Own and evolve the Supply Chain Exploration Toolkit and Opportunity Identification Framework.
