Meet the team behind this journey
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager for the newly formed API product team that will work closely with product teams across DeepL. Currently there are two mission teams within the API track — API Core, and API Enterprise. While the two teams work closely together, we are looking for a talented PM to drive the mission and expansion of API capabilities within the Enterprise team. The mission of this sub-team is to expand our API capabilities that enable enterprises to bring DeepL translations into any software product.
Your Responsibilities
Define and refine the mission, strategy and roadmap for API Enterprise.Lead a collaborative team process to translate user and business needs into development requirements that drive impactDefine metrics and KPIs to measure and report progressEnsure the maximum Return on Investment for all of your team’s effortsCommunicate strategy, ideas and concepts clearly, aimed at the right audience, with the help of insight and dataIdentify opportunities for new features and products that leverage the global scale of our user base and dataCooperate with the team of engineers, the Engineering Manager and counterparts in other DeepL departments to foster a culture of trust and maintain a healthy team with predictable delivery performance
Qualities we look for
6+ years of experience as a Product Manager on a technology productStrong technical background: a computer science degree and/or previous software development experience and/or previous experience working specifically on an API productExperience in driving the product lifecycle – research, prototyping, iterative development and testing, launch, and continuous improvementConsistency in using qualitative and quantitative insights to define strategy, goals and roadmapData focus. You base your decisions on facts, not opinion, and always seek to validate any hypothesis both before and after implementationExperience working on a product at scale, with an international footprintStrong communication and presentation skills with the help of insight and data
